Section 15
Police Officer Duties
: (1) Every police officer shall have the following duties :
(a) To follow and comply with the orders and warrants issued by the authorized officers according to the law.
(b) Collecting information affecting peace and order and informing the superior authorities.
(c) To prevent crime and save the public from unnecessary inconvenience.
(d) To detect the criminals and punish the criminals according to the law.
(e) Arresting persons who should be arrested according to law and persons having sufficient reason to arrest them.
(f) To comply with the duty to be performed according to the prevailing law.
(g) To give all possible help to those who are unable and helpless, and to take charge of those who are at risk and who cannot take care of themselves, or those who are insane.
(h) If the arrested or detained person is injured or sick, to take immediate action for the necessary help and to take proper care of his arrangements while guarding or killing such person.
(j) Arranging the necessary accommodation and accommodation for the arrested or detained persons.
(j) Do not behave rudely while looking for food and do not cause unwanted harassment.
(k) To behave politely with the common people and to behave with full respect and humility while dealing with wives and children.
(l) To make every effort to prevent damage from fire.
(D) To make every effort to save the public from accidents or danger.

(3) In case of entry or inspection without a warrant as per sub-section (2), such police officer shall give written information including the reason for the matter to the chief district officer as soon as possible.
